Synopsis
The Saharans have been living without a homeland for more than thirty years. There are people born in the Algerian desert who only know their country of origin as something referred to by grown-ups refer. Their history and their people demand great responsibility in order to continue giving meaning to so many years of resistance. Sukaina, our protagonist, is not responsible for the injustice of the world into which she was born. And she shouldn’t have to limit the possibilities for her future for any cause. Sukaina should be able to keep her Saharan identity without being forced to undertake the long hard wait that is currently the only option for her uprooted people.
